Debra A. Crowder, Esq. has been practicing law for 32 years, with a concentration in family law, matrimonial law, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), and prenuptial agreements. She is admitted to practice in New York State, the Federal Court for the Western District of New York, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
A native of Rochester and a graduate of Gates-Chili High School and a Gates-Chili High School Hall of Fame Inductee, Debra earned her bachelor’s degree from The State University of New York at Buffalo and her Juris Doctor from CUNY Law School at Queen’s College.
Debra currently serves as one of the Justices of the Greece Town Court, hearing hundreds of cases monthly. Although her legal practice is focused in family and matrimonial matters, particularly in high asset divorce matters and child custody disputes, she has also handled matters in general civil litigation, criminal matters and provided legal consulting services for small businesses.
Since the beginning of her legal career in 1993, Debra has been a dedicated advocate for children, serving on the ‘Attorneys for Children Panel’ for the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, and representing hundreds of children in both Family and Supreme Court. She also served for two years as a Law Clerk to the Integrated Domestic Violence Court in Monroe County. She has also served as a lecturer for the Assisting Children Through Transition program, which is recommended for parents navigating a divorce with custody issues.
In addition, Debra has served as an Arbitrator for the Seventh Judicial District, presiding over small claims cases. She is a past-member of the Family Law Section of the Monroe County Bar Association.
